2025 Austin BUILT Service Project Benefiting Austin Sunshine Camps

On Monday, July 28th, Austin BUILT members met at Austin Sunshine Camps’  Zilker Lodge for the 2025 Service Project – ACL Night at ASC! Austin BUILT is proud to have sponsored the last night of camp and cannot wait to return in 2026!

The service project allowed members to become certified volunteers and engage with the campers for the first time since establishing the partnership with Austin Sunshine Camps! ACL at ASC is one of ASC campers’ favorite traditions, a music-filled evening inspired by Austin’s iconic festival, Austin City Limits. This special night brings the energy of a live concert right to the campers, and a LOT of Karaoke on stage. Campers get to dance, sing, and enjoy a mini music festival designed just for them, with face painting, glow sticks, karaoke, and magic lighting up the night. Our volunteers passed out “festival merch”, played corn hole, threw footballs & frisbees, colored, made root beer floats, and helped with temporary tattoos!

Our very own chapter President & BUILT National VP of Operations, Margana Wood, was given the “ASC Awesomeness Award” for helping bring the magic of summer camp with her own personal flair – GLITTER! Kids lined up left and right to get “glittered & tatted” at her table.
